Caveat - BE CAREFUL OF SCAMMERS

These days it is all too easy for a criminal mind to "borrow" images of another owner's bike, then post that bike for sale on forums such as this.
PLEASE.. observe the following safe practices when purchasing online:
* Be aware there is no warranty nor restitution if you are scammed via a direct sale, unlike a purchase on eBay
* Insist on speaking personally on the phone with the "seller", and ask specific questions that any owner should know
* Insist on getting a copy/photo of the current title, and confirm it matches the VIN from photos of the bike, and the stated owner and seller are the same
* Pay via Paypal, which does seem to offer some protection against fraudulent sellers
* If possible, pay just a small deposit until the seller can offer evidence that shipment has been scheduled
* Depending on price, try to find a third party who can inspect the item in question in person
* If the deal seems too good to be true, you're probably right.. proceed with extreme caution!
