Hello,

Are there any engine builders on here ? Are their any guys that know guys that build Ariel engines ?

Lets get technical. I'm building a 58 MK II and I either need to 'tool up' to line hone it or find someone that

has the right equipment to do it. I'm in Arizona.

Thanks, Greg

Hi Greg...Seems to me there are a few folks looking to do line bores on their Squares. I thought the Admin of this page was looking to do the same thing . Not sure if he has found anyone yet...I'll see what I can find out...Cheers, Dan

See the suggested contact for Steve Daniels in Maine under the line boring topic

Just don't plan on being in a hurry. My engine has been there for a year now and still not completed. I have confidence that he does good work but is frustratingly slow

He has no email and rarely responds to voice messages left on his phone

Make your own decision.

I DO want to give a shout-out to Paul Ackerman, also in Maine, who oversaw the completion of the lower end of my Square 4 MK II with scrupulous attention to detail throughout the whole process. To do it right is not cheap (although Paul's hourly rates are more than reasonable), but doing a half-assed job will just result in more expense down the road.
Paul's contact details can be found in his ads for precision gaskets and spacers, in the club newsletter.
I couldn't be happier with the end result of Paul's work
