First off many thanks to Mr. Turrall for responding to my previous questions. The fitting of knee pads to my '51 has me baffled. I have tried but so far have got to the 3/4 mark but no further. Does the steel plate have a washer behind, and is there a tried and true method for easy slip on? Many thanks in advance.
