pistons & liners

Hello fellow members,
I am Mark Holladay in Mobile, AL & have just recently joined the Club even though I have owned SQ4's since early '70's. A fellow near New Orleans had 3 complete & original Ariels which he was keeping, but was selling everything else. This included a '38 cast iron in a '50's frame & a ton of SQ4 parts. extra frame, tanks, engines, etc. it was. 2 truck loads of parts/ junk !
there were 4 cylinder liners & 4 pistons, in original boxes, for an early Ford flathead V8. I was told these were the perfect fit & fix for the SQ4. Is this true correct ? I have no idea. I wonder if they would be more valuable to a Ford person than an Ariel person. I would like input from anyone ?!?!
